Food Art : Anything you can do crazy shapes and figures with foods

PENIS DOG: Sausage-Stuffed Penis Pancakes

The neighborhood of Ximending is located in the Northeastern part of Taipei, and is the Taiwanese hub of fashion and Japanese culture. Often referred to as the “the Harajuku of Taipei,” there are many fascinating things to be seen just by walking up and down the streets, looking around at the numerous shops, and observing the customers that fill them.

R
eporters in Taipei recently stumbled across a food vendor that sells a corn dog-like concoction made by baking a sausage, coated in hotcake batter, in a special iron grill shaped like a penis.

The Taiwanese customers who visited the shop seemed to have no qualms about this startlingly detailed ‘penis dog.’ People casually nibbling on their penis while walking along the busy street, and it seemed to be particularly popular with children and high school-aged girls; the latter would purchase one penis to share with two or three friends.

One must admire the vendors who can boldly sell this in the middle of one of Taiwan’s busy shopping districts. Plus, at a mere $1.50, the price of this penis just can’t be beat.

In Japan there are a number of shrines that worship the penis as a deity, so perhaps this cock-cake represents the start of a new culture for Taiwan. Next time you’re in Taipei try discarding those dated conceptions of the penis as something obscene, and wrap your lips around one yourself! (written by Steven)

“The Philippines Pride”

“The Philippines Pride”

Filipinos are well known in different things like in sports, hospitality, entertainment and many more. And of course Filipinos are also known for their love and passion in cooking or in different variety of food dishes, food recipes etc. Of all the Filipino foods dishes the most popular and considered as the national dishes for Filipinos is the “ADOBO” when can be in different meat variety chicken, pork , turkey meat etc. Adobo is a mixture of vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, peppercorn and ginger. Most of the Filipina housewives know how to cook adobo because of the fact that is cheap and easy to cook. But for some who doesn’t know how to cook a perfect Adobo here is a step by step procedure that you can count on:

The Ingredients:
·         2 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh ginger root
          1/2 tablespoon black peppercorns
·         1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
·         1/2 cup soy sauce
·         3/4 cup distilled white vinegar
·         1 bulb garlic, peeled and crushed

The Procedure:
First thing to do is mix the chicken (or any kind of meat you want), soy sauce, ginger, vinegar, garlic, and peppercorns in a casserole or a pot. Let it boil in a medium heat temperature. Once it boils, reduce temperature to a simmer level. Cover the casserole/pot and boil for 30 minutes, basting the chicken/any meat occasionally. After 30 minutes, remove the pot cover and cook until juice has condensed to half.
Then take away chicken (any meat) from the pot to a serving plate. Pull the liquid from the pot to remove all the food particles, and set aside. Serve chicken hot over steamed rice and drizzle with reserved sauce. Good for 6 serving.
Lastly eat with a smile and make sure to make yourself full. Thanks :)

“An Empty Stomach is an Empty Brain”

"an empty stomach is an empty brain"
I can still remember what my teacher in college always told us whenever we are having an exam. "Guys make sure that your stomachs are full before going to here because, “an empty stomach is an empty brain”. The quote was absolutely right and I agree with it. The fact that your stomach is empty is the more chance that you can think very well because the focus of your brain is into your empty stomach which is aching and craving for food. Having a full stomach most of the time gives you a full focus and concentration of whatever you are doing. On my part as a blogger and web addict I always want to have snacks on my side while blogging or doing something in the web. I usually write and post article that’s why I need a full focus into it and I'm always eating something. This is also the main reason why I gain weight. “an empty stomach is an empty brain” is not only applicable to blogger's or students; it is applicable in any position or profession. But as usual not all the foods are good to your health to much salt, cholesterol and other substances can harm your health that’s why you should be careful of what to take or not  and the amount of food. There are lots of food recipes throughout the internet which can help you choosing the right foods for you. So feed your stomach and feed your brain :).
